The Soul Jazz Collective has one distinct aim: To celebrate the hard grooves and classic funk to emerge from the 1960s melting pot of Motown Soul, Blue Note Hard Bop, and gospel-tinged rhythm and blues.

 

Our repertoire is a heady cocktail of Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Ray Charles, Cannonball Adderley, and Grover Washington, plus new original material inspired by these luminaries. The result is music that is timeless, deeply soulful, and downright groovy.
